Cloud Data Engine elected to the Board of EuroCloud France

Cloud Data Engine (CDE) is proud to announce that its CEO, Alban Schmutz, has been elected to the Board of Directors of EuroCloud France during the General Assembly held on 9 December 2025 in Paris. This election marks an important milestone for CDE and confirms its active role in shaping the future of the European cloud and data ecosystem.

EuroCloud France, the leading network of cloud and AI stakeholders in France, has recently strengthened its governance to better address strategic challenges such as digital sovereignty, regulatory compliance and sustainable innovation. Through the election of Alban Schmutz to its Board, Cloud Data Engine now directly contributes to the association’s strategic orientations and public positioning.

Alban Schmutz brings more than a decade of experience in structuring the European cloud landscape. He co-founded major initiatives such as the Gaia-X Association for Data and Cloud, CISPE and the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact, and contributed to the development of the first GDPR Code of Conduct approved by the European Data Protection Board. His election strengthens EuroCloud France’s ability to engage constructively with public authorities and to represent the interests of the cloud and AI ecosystem.

For Cloud Data Engine, this Board position is fully aligned with its mission to turn regulatory frameworks into operational assets. Through its compliance automation and data space governance solutions, CDE supports cloud providers and users in addressing complex requirements such as NIS2, DORA and the EU Data Act, while enabling trusted and interoperable data ecosystems.
